Calling all WOMEN who want to increase their activity levels - here is your chance!

Did you used to swim? Did you do Nippers when you were a kid? Are you sick of watching your family run around and reap all the benefits from physical activity....well here is your chance to go from the beach to the water!!

ASLSC received a grant from Vic Health to run a program for Anglesea women to get them back into physical activity and the new 600m swim in the Burson 2019 Rock2Ramp event lends itself to this beautifully.

We will provide a program to get you in the pool and then in the ocean written by Anglesea's very own Naantali Marshall who has been a dominant ocean swimmer for many years. Naant is also a mother of two busy young girls so she absolutely gets life is hectic and it can be difficult to make your exercise time a priority.

She will provide a program designed to get you swimming and ready to participate on December 28th....what are you waiting for....dust off the togs, get yourself a wetsuit and a pair of goggles and lets show everyone This Girl Can!

2019 will be the first year that an Open 600m swim is raced in the Burson Rock2Ramp event. Feedback from the 2019 participants suggested the shorter event would be worth trialling.

There will be two categories, Open Male and Open Female and you must be 12 years of age to swim in this event.

The 600m category is designed for swimmers who are coming out of the younger age groups who might not be ready for the 1.2km, those returning to ocean swimming after a break or for swimmers who are keen to give ocean swimming a try for the first time.

Registrations for the Burson 2019 R2R will open on October 7 and the swim will take place at beautiful Point Roadknight in Anglesea on Saturday December 28th 2019.

Race participants will now also have the option of a 600m race.
