Swim Instructions:

Marshalling:

Marshalling will occur just to the ramp side of the start line. Please ensure that you are near the start line at least 15 minutes prior to your race start time. Swimmers will be grouped according to the colour of their official Rock2Ramp Swim cap. Please assist race officials by wearing your swim cap in the marshalling area and listening to instructions.

The Start:

At the direction of the Race officials, swim groups will enter the starting area. You will then be marshalled on the start line. You will receive a final briefing of the course and a 'gun or whistle' start at the race time will be used.

The Course:

Carefully read the map of the course. You must pass through the two green buoys and then pass to the left of all yellow buoys, and between two final red buoys to the finish line.

The Finish:

As soon as you have crossed under the finish line structure, please proceed quickly up the beach to the right to clear the way for other finishers.

Safety:

The Anglesea SLSC provides the highest level of water safety per capita of all the swims in the area. Water Safety consists of Inflatable Rescue Boats and Rescue Boards, all manned by competent Surf Lifesavers together with a Medical Centre on land. If you feel you cannot go on, wave your hand over your head and you will be assisted immediately.
