In 2025, we celebrate three decades of the Rock2Ramp and what a journey it has been. The event is now the largest event conducted by the Anglesea SLSC with all funds raised going towards vital surf lifesaving education and services. We are also proud to be in the top four largest annual open water swim events in Victoria.
Entries for the 2025 event, on Sunday 28 December 2025, will be opening in mid-August. For more information about this years' event please head to www.rock2ramp.com
In the lead up to the 2025 Burson Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim we will be sharing stories, information and photos of the past 30 years to celebrate this milestone. We would love to hear from you to, so if you have any photos, videos and/or stories you would like to share please send to me at rock2ramp@angleseaslsc.org.au
The first video to share is a recent interview of Tony Smelter who has completed 24 years of the Rock2Ramp. In 2024, Tony swam in the Hero (70-79yrs) age group of the 1.2km swim finishing with a bronze medal with a time of 00:22:10. Thank you to Tony for his insights. The questions were:
What do you love about the Burson Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim?
Having swam in numerous ocean swims, what makes the Rock2Ramp different?
What would you say to someone new to open water swimming?
Stay tuned for more about the 2025 Burson Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim and our past 30 years.
