The Surf'n'Turf Category is for those who enter the 1.2km swim (any category) in the Rock2Ramp and the 8km Roo Run. Are you ready for the 2025 Burson Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim?
What distances are available? The Burson Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim has a distance for everyone. These include: Burson Kids Dash Ocean Swim - There are two distances: 200m Swim/Wade for 7-9 year olds and 300m Swim for 10-12 year olds. Great Ocean Wetsuits 600m Ocean Swim - Open to anyone aged 12 years or more. There are two groups, Open Male and Open Female. Burson 1.2km Ocean Swim - Open to anyone aged 12 years or more. The Starters
The Murray family have been involved in the Rock2Ramp Ocean Swim since it started in 1993, with Bernard (Bernie) the swim starter for the first 27 years of the event. Meet Ingilby Dickson
Many of the seasoned swimmers may already know Ingilby Dickson as he is a regular open water swimmer, particularly in the longer distances. In 2013, Ingilby was part of a group that together completed an unprecedented two-way crossing of Port Phillip Bay. The 7.8km swim took 2 hours 22 minutes between Point Nepean and Point Lonsdale.
